Information reaching our newsroom revealed that the dreaded birds flu has entered Choba community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Director of Public Health in the state Ministry of Health, Dr. Nnana Onyekwe confirmed this to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
According to him, the scourge was discovered in two poultry farms locate on Choba land, and that the government is doing everything to curb the situation from spreading to other communities or LGAs.
