The stars are coming to roast. The current trend for the Super Eagles former stars who had played for the national team, coming back to coach the Super Eagles is a good omen.
This shows that Nigeria is bless with football talents. On the whole, four former players of the country’s national football team had coached the Super Eagles.
First it was Augustine Equavoen, followed by Siasia, Daniel Amokachi, Keshi and now Sunday Oliseh, all this goes on to confirm that Nigeria will one day lift the FIFA world cup.
If logistic are put right, Nigeria is a country of football players. The Nigeria Football Federation should gear up to protect the abundant football talents in the country as many youngsters are littered in other smaller countries wasting their talents in the name of seeking for green pastures, for lack of support, many Nigerian football talents did not come to limelight, only the few lucky ones, with self determination was able to blossom to public and national reckoning.
Oliseh, Daniel, Okocha, Kanu and others were all discovered from the grassroots, now that Oliseh is as the new coach of the Super Eagles, he should not neglected the grassroots, as he was given the opportunity to blossom to be a Super star to translate to be the country’s coach.
The likes of Kingsley Bobby Sokari are players Oliseh should nurture to full blown concrete players for the country and the world. ###
