Change is indispensable in the life of every human being. And God Almighty loves change, hates stagnation.
It is the desire of every government to ensure that its ignite policies and programmes that will fast track changes in the life of its citizens.
During the electioneering campaign’s contestants on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC made us to believe that they will bring change if voted into power.
Fortunately and unfortunately the party formed the government at the centre headed by the former military Head of State, President Muhammadu Buhari.
The way and the manner in which the campaign went, Nigerians wanted change immediately. Change in the economy sector, change in security, change in every sphere of our national life.
Months, days and weeks after President Mohammadu Buhari stepped into the Aso Rock, Nigerians have not seen the expected change(s).
Rather Nigerians continue experience frequent oversee trips embark by the president, increasing rate of violence in the different parts of the country, violation of fundamental human rights and several others. Positive changes are visible absence in the country.
The only state where positive changes are taking place is Rivers State. Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is taking the state into the next level, especially in the areas of security, road rehabilitation, economic empowerment, salary payment, among others.
Rivers indigenes are beginning to feel the positive impart of the dividends of democracy. At the local government level, the Caretaker Committee chairmen and members have keyed into the Wike’s new Rivers vision.
Non availability, absence, lack of positive changes have for propel the people regreting voting APC in the National level.
With Wike’s new vision, Rivers people are happy and show commitment in his administration by giving him all necessary support.
No doubt Wike’s administration is gearing towards economic emancipation of Rivers State. I sincerely believe that, by the time Wike will complete his first tenure Rivers State will be on the pedestal of unprecedented development. ###
