Rivers Youths Slam APC Members Over Negative Comments

Youths in the state have once again slammed the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for accusing the high court judge, Justice Lakami Akanbi of collecting bribe and trying to pass judgment in favour of the PDP in a case he is handling.

The youths who spoke under the auspices of Rivers State Youth Leaders Assembly headed by a renowned peace ambassador in the Niger Delta, Amb. Prince Tonye Jenminimiema, wondered “why is it that whenever a judgment goes against the APC members in the state on any issue, they will begin to point accusing fingers at the judge, but when ever it favours them, the judge becomes the best” he asked rhetorically.

Ambassador Jenminimiema urged the APC members to be careful in their utterances and warned the leader of the protesting All Progressives Congress members headed by Sogbeye Eli to respect the position of a high court judge in the country and mind his utterances against such personality or risk going to jail.

The youth leader warned that they will not sit back and watch the members of the APC forment further problems in the state, alleging that over ninety percent of those in APC in the state are non Rivers indigenes and that is why they are insisting on causing problems in the state because they have nothing to lose. He threaten to use his position as the president general of all youth bodies in the state to- continuously make sure they resist them.

The very passionate youth leader described this current administration as the most transparent in recent times, stating that, now the judiciary, legislative and the executive are all independent without interference, something he said the APC refused to do in the state that almost led to anarchy, but thank God Rivers people knew will not last.

Ambassador T. Jenminimiema saluted the members of Rivers State House of Assembly led by Ikuinyi Ibani expressing satisfaction in way and manner the house activities are been run so far.

The youth leader concluded by reaffirming the total support of all youth bodies in the state on the present administration and warned the APC members to desist from distracting the Wike led government that has come to take Rivers State to it’s Promised Land. He expressed further that Rivers State is a PDP state and if elections are held hundred times in the state PDP will continue to dominate any party.

He urged them to accept defeat and rather rally round Wike to see what he can do for them. ###
