Rivers Muslims Challenged On Spiritual Commitment

The secretary of the Rivers State Islamic Council of Rivers State, Alh. Daud Penuel has called on Muslims faithful especially the indigenous Muslims to be focused and committed in this years’ Ramadan fast to attract the numerous blessings of the Almighty Allah to the state mostly as it falls within the first one hundred days of the present administration in office. Speaking after the last general meeting of the council in Port Harcourt, Alh. Daud Penuel said “everyone of us must pray fervently to see to the quick recovery of the state from all past misadventures so that this state can take its pride of place in the commity of states for advanced growth,” he said “now in Ramadan Allah has opened the windows of blessing and put the devils in chains so lets take advantage of this holy month to uplift our state before the Almighty Allah who is the ultimate destination.

We must be focused, firm and resolved in our prayers for success of government and the good people of the state. He further prayed that may Allah keep the state peaceful and progressive in the developmental strides of this administration and may Allah protect the Muslim minorities worldwide.

The devils must continue to be put in chains Insha Allah through prayers. “Prayers are the hallmark of the Muslims,” he concluded.   ###
