Rivers: Fake Traditional Medicine Practitioners In Trouble

In no distant time, fake traditional medicine practitioners doing business in Rivers State will come under the sledge hammer of the state chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners.

On Monday, the chairman of the association, Chief Dr. Nyefibo C. Nyefibo has constituted a 7-man Task Force, tagged “War against fake traditional medicine practitioners” to fish out quack trado-medicine practitioners in the state.

The Task Force has only 30 days to accomplish its assignment. The Task Force has the following members: Emmanuel Abiale – Leader, Minabo Princewill, Augustine Adrigha, Papa Whyte.

Others include: Stephen Jack, Krakrafa Dokubo and George Godstime.

Constituting the members in the association’s secretariat in Port Harcourt on Monday the chairman, Chief (Dr.) Nyefibo said that the constitution of the association empowers him to do so. He cited Article 1 & 2, saying that the constitution provides regulations and sanitization of the trado-medicine practices in the country. Chief Dr. Nyefibo added that the constitution further empowers the association to establish a code of conduct.

He enjoined the members to be upright and discharge their assignment diligently without any fear or favour so that they will flush out fake trado-medicine practitioners in the State. ###
