Rivers: Council Chairmen Are Criminals– Group…Calls For Amaechi’s Arrest

The Niger Delta Peoples Revolutionary Force (NDPRF) has alleged that some of the Caretaker Committee (CTC) Chairmen of the Rivers LGAs are criminals, thereby calling for their dissolution.
The group also demanded for the immediate arrest of the former Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for what it calls, “unprecedented looting of properties in the Government House”.
The group through its leader, High Chief Stanley Tyger Amachree said this in a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
The NDPRF regretted how the former governor condescended so low and went away even with “spoons and forks” from the Government House. High Chief Tyger Amachree described Amaechi’s action and behaviour as “disgraceful and unstatesmanship”, saying that Amaechi deserves arrest and prosecution.
The group slammed ex-governor Amaechi for spending N4.5bn to conduct LGA polls in the state. High Chief Tyger Amachree said that because of the way and manner in which the so called May 23, 2015, council polls were conducted and subsequent declaration of the election results, the chairmen should stop parading themselves as elected chairmen of Rivers councils.
His words, “I have evidence. There was no LGA election. I saw APC members thumb printing alone. I have the video clips. How can Amaechi and his Assembly men sworn in the so called council chairmen in the midnight? Such illegal thing cannot stand. It was a fraud of the highest order.”
High Chief Tyger Amachree blasted the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for inability to restore peace and his orderliness in the country. He recalled that Buhari promised to put an end to Boko Haram menace, “but uptil now nothing has been done.” The NDPRF worried over frequent oversea trips embark by the president, saying such foreign trips at this time of our economic woes and political instability will not do the country any good.
The group further faulted Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu for interfering so much in the affairs of the National Assembly describing them as confutionists working towards the disintegration of Nigeria as a nation.
However, High Chief Tyger Amachree has thrown his weight behind the election of Senator Saraki as the Senate President, noting that Saraki is a “man of wisdom, honour and integrity”.
He had earlier pointed out that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not bring the needed change into the country, therefore predicted that APC will crash within six (6) months or one year.
“Buhari cannot rule this country. PDP will bounce back and take over power in 2019. There will no APC after six (6) months or one year from now,” High Chief Tyger Amachree said.
The group threatened that if Tinubu and Atiku continue to disturb the country, Nigeria will be on fire.
The NDPRF recalled that Amaechi’s eight (8) years rule was full of corruption, fraud, kidnapping and bribing. Hence he commended the Governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr.) Nzenwo Nyesom Wike for initiating policies and programmes that moving the state forward.
“Wike has not spent 100days in office but we have started seeing the light. Wike is the man of the people,” High Chief Tyger Amachree said.
He prayed God to give the Governor King Solomon’s wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state.
High Chief Tyger Amachree in conclusion applauded the people of Degema Local Government Area to vote Dr. Hon. Farah Dagogo to represent the Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly (RSHA). He expressed hope that Hon. Farah will bring the needeed development to the Degema Constituency. High Chief Tyger prayed God Almighty to shower His blessing on Hon. Farah so as to represent the Constituency well. ###
