Civil Society Organization Set Agenda For Wike

The Chief Convener of the Rivers State Civil Society Organization platform, Comr. Emmanuel Nkweke aka Mr. Vote Count” said plans are on top gear to host the first press conference where topical issues would be discussed.

Comr. Nkweke made the disclosure while in a chat with journalists at the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, Port Harcourt when he arrived from Togo.

According to him, the press conference is to set agenda for the new Rivers State government and to put in place paramenters that would be set for the incumbent governor under the leadership of Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike adding that the government decision is for public good and therefore should be subjected to consideration of public interest and to avoid defiling of logic, pointing out that every decisions must be evaluated by the civil society organization and other stakeholders in the state.

He further disclosed that the press conference is billed to hold on Saturday 20th June, 2015 in Port Harcourt.

According to him, those expected to attend the press conference includes: chairman Rivers State Nigeria Bar Association, chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, chairman NLC, Market women, youth bodies, chairman Mile 1 Market and other leaders of the civil society organization.
