A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, (APC in Obuama Community (Ward 14) in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Tam Fred-Harry has raised alarm over what he calls, “the gross marginalization of the original members of APC”.
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Monday, Harry alleged that the former PDP members who defected to the APC had hijacked the party structures, adding that the ex-PDP members are greedy and insensitivity to the plights of the original members of the APC.
Hon. Harry said that the hijackers did not carry the real members of the party along in the scheme of things. He described, the hijackers as “strangers, therefore do not have the interest of the APC at heart.
Hon. Fred-Harry blasted the “hijackers” saying that they are always doing things in secret.
“The party primaries were done in the secret. They want to kill the party that we have built”, Hon. Fred Harry said.
Hon. Fred-Harry who was a former councillorship candidate, maintained that him and the real members of the APC would not fold their hands and see “strangers and hijackers, to rubbish the good image of the APC that they had built over the years.
He called on the national leadership of the party and the relevant authorities to intervene so as to save the party from collapsing. ###
