FIFA U-20 Championship: There Is Hope For Flying Eagles – Karibi George

The Nigeria U-20 side, the Flying Eagles started their campaign in the on-going FIFA U-20 youths soccer championship on a sad note, losing 4-2 to Brazil U-20 side on Sunday.

The Flying Eagles will play Korea come Thursday. The Newswriter sports speaking with the public Relations Officer of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rivers State Chapter, Barrister Karibi George said, “there is hope provided they can overcome the errors of the first match and win the remaining group matches”.

Nigeria Flying Eagles has never scored a goal against the Brazilian U-20 side in this competition, with the feat of the Manu Garba led lads enterprising nature, scoring two goals against the Brazilian U-20 side, it means that this set of Flying Eagles are out to write a new history in this FIFA organized junior soccer World Cup.

As Nigerians soccer fans and stakeholders continuing their expectation of the Flying Eagles to make Nigeria proud, the Garba lads must not be complacent at goal.

The Flying Eagles Squad is blessed with promising world future soccer stars, if only the Nigeria Football Federation could understand what it takes to encourage these lads to limelight in the near future.

While the lads are out there flying the flag of Nigeria, soccer followers, fans and stakeholders are collectively urged to encourage every way possible to see that Nigeria lift the trophy this time, for the first time, at this U-20 side stage as Nigeria had never won this age grade championship before.
