Herbal Trade Fair will hold in Port Harcourt, the capital City of Rivers State.
The chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP), Chief Dr. Neyefibo N.C disclosed this at a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Monday. He said that the planned herbal trade fair will come up in August, 2015.
According to him, the upcoming event is the first of its kind in Rivers State, adding that the occasion will attract traditional medicine practitioners from all walks of life.
Chief Dr. Neyefibo further revealed that Institute of Herbal and Tradition Medicine Practice will soon be established in the state. He said the institute will offer professional certificate and diploma programme, adding that the duration for the certificate is three (3) months, while the diploma is six (6) months.
Chief Dr. Neyefibo who is also the Director of the School noted that the institute will enable people to acquire skills that would empower them in the future. He continued by saying that beside reducing unemployment, it will equip the graduads of the institute to work in the various health centres in the rural communities. He advised youths, men and women to take advantage of the programme. ###
