It was a moment of merriment as the entire congregation of the Glorious Land Bible Church, Egede Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt last Sunday was agog when his Royal Highness, Chief Owabie Tobin, the Eze Onumini 1 of Port Harcourt city LGA organized a thanksgiving with his friends and well wishers to give God the glory for his protection and keeping him alive till date despite sickness which nearly took his life.
Speaking at the thanksgiving service, HRH Chief Owabie Tobin who narrated how he was attacked by a strange sickness which made him to be hospitalized at the BMH, Port Harcourt over a month gave God the glory for disgracing his enemies as he survived the ailment hence he organized the thanksgiving to appreciate God with his family friends and well wishers.
Chief Owabie Tobin who expressed joy for his survival noted that anyone who does not know God is in trouble.
According to him, “a strange bird entered into a friend of mine car one day, instead of him to pray to God to prevent such incident, from his car he went and made sacrifices to evil spirits which eat all his money”.
Chief Owabie disclosed that he fell sick during the period his late mother was in the mortuary, he later came to the church and the pastor prayed for him and he was delivered hence he came to thank God for what he has done for him praying that God should continue to guide and protect him and his family.
In his sermon the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Bethel Wobo admonished Christians to always do things that will please God to receive God’s blessing.
According to him, God has given Christians power to make headways, it is left for us to utilize these powers by doing the right things pointing out that God who sees all things will reward openly those evil things we do in secretly and as well reward with good where one do things with righteousness.
Pastor Wobo noted that the Holy Spirit only talk to the children of God who obey his commandments and direct them on what to do.
He advised believers not to give prominence to those who are not God rather should value God because he is the alpha and Omega who is very powerful to take care of everyone.
Pastor Wobo describe HRH Chief Owabie Tobin as an old friend and his senior who does not discriminate rather he carries him and other of his colleagues along in the scheme of things describing him as a nice and a reliable friend and prayed that God should continue to protect and guide him and his family. ###
