ASOROne of the advocates for the re-election of His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, the executive governor of Imo State, HRH Eze Dr. I.O. Asor, has said that the recent victory of Okorocha at the just concluded governorship election was based on his human and infrastructural development in the state.

Eze Asor, who is the paramount ruler of Obudi Agwa Ancient Kingdom, Oguta LGA, Imo State, opined that the education foundation of Governor Okoroch, cuts across the nation, unlike that of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, which was only for the Yorubas, even before he (Rochas) became the state governor.

Udi 1 of Obudi Agwa who described those that said there was no free education in the state as sycophants, pointing out that even those that contested with Okorocha in the last election also benefited from the free education, through their relations in the state.

Asor maintained that his faith in God has grown stronger, since God never disappointed him and others, for supporting the second tenure aspiration of Okorocha, which has come to manifestation.

Responding to critics that Okorocha’s second tenure would amount to acquiring wealth for his future political ambition, Eze Asor noted that the governor is a man that is always boastful of things that he can do, even when he has not started such.

The chairman of Oguta LGA Council of Traditional Rulers maintained that the promises of industrializing Imo and creation of jobs for the unemployed in the state by Okorocha in the course of his second tenure in office would come to reality, since his government and achievements in the state never existed on bill boards or internet as witnessed in previous administrations.

Asor commended the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr. Gabriel Ada for allowing the will of the people to prevail in the just concluded guber elections in the state. The Traditional Ruler however used the medium to express gratitude to God on the emergence of Okorocha and Ezediaru.

The Emeritus chairman of Traditional Rulers of Oil and Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria, TROMPCON, in the mean time called on the state governor to quickly respond to the problem of youth restiveness in Agwa, Oguta LGA, which according to him, has assumed a very bad dimension in the area.

Udi 1 stressed that the unchecked youth activities in the area led to the burning of Agwa Police Station during the last governorship election and further called for the establishment of a Divisional Police Headquarters in Agwa, as panacea to peace in the area and the state at large.
