Commercial and social activities in the Eagle Island community in the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area were paralyzed on Monday and Tuesday following a bloody clash between two rival groups.
The cause of the renewed crisis was not known at the time of filing in this report, but sources attributed it to fighting for supremacy”. Information has it that during the fight no fewer than eight (8) persons lost their lives through matchet cuts and gun shots. The fight took place at the “Andoni” axis of the Eagle Island.
Explosives and other dangerous weapons were freely used during the clash.

Meanwhile dependable source hinted our crime correspondent that a cult kingpin and an ex-militant in Kalabari kingdom simply identified as Marvin has been arrested by security agents. He was arrested few days ago in Port Harcourt. Marvin hails from Bakana, in the Degema Local Government Area.
The reasons for his arrest are not visible at the time of filing in this report but our source informed this weekly that it was found in his possession, something that is incriminating and against the law of the land. ###
