Artisan Fishermen Salute Buhari, Wike Over Electoral Victory

buhariArtisan Fishermen Association of Nigeria, ARFAN has sent a message of congratulations to the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) on his electoral success of March 28, 2015 presidential polls.

The congratulatory letter was signed by the National President of the association, Bishop Dr. Godknows M. Nifeipiri and the Secretary, Rev. C. Udo and made available to the newsmen, ARFAN commended the President-Elect for his persistence and patience, “for this golden opportunity to serve Nigeria again for progress, peace and unity.”

The Artisan fishermen further applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) for the peaceful conduct of the presidential election and expressed optimism that with the inauguration of Buhari’s administration on May 29, 2015, challenges facing Nigerian farmers will be things of the past.

The association prayed God Almighty to shower his blessings on the President-Elect so as to move the country to the next level.

In a related development the Artisan Fishermen Association of Nigeria (ARFAN) and Federation Agricultural Commodity Association of Nigeria (FACAN) have felicitated with the Governor-elect of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on his resounding electoral victory in the April 11, 2015 gubernatorial election.

The National President of the ARFAN, Bishop Dr. G.M. Niefipiri and the Rivers State co-ordinator of the association, Comrade Billy P. Harry, the Artisan fishermen said they are very elated over the electoral success of Chief Barr. Wike.

They described the Governor-Elect as “a dynamic, visionary and enviable leader” and thanked God for his victory.

The Artisan fishermen said, “We give glory and honour to God Almighty for granting the nation prayers for peaceful elections, before, during and after the election. We wish you success on the 29th May, 2015.

They pleaded with the Governor Elect to remember the farmers in the policy thrust of his administration and prayed God Almighty to guide and direct him as he takes over the mantle of leadership come May 29, 2015.###
