Island Comrades of Bonny Kingdom has organized a reception in honour of Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, lawmaker elect, Bonny constituency, and Hon. Randolph Iwo Brown Federal Legislator elect Bonny/Degema Constituency.
In his speech, the group’s Chancellor, Godpower Jumbo thanked PDP stakeholders of Bonny kingdom, the support given to one of their members to emerge as member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple.
The Chancellor assured that Island Comrades, of Bonny will do its best to support the Assembly Member elected.
Jumbo charged Hon. Abinye to live up to expectation of the electorate as the image of Island, Comrades will be portrayed in scheme of things.
Adding that Island Comrade will ever support every successful administration that will impact good governance in Bonny LGA. Saying that the people of Bonny are watching you from now to 2019 that will worth you for a second tenure”.
According to Jumbo, the Island Comrades is non political organization but give support to any credible candidate that will protect the image of Bonny kingdom.
In his remarks, Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple lauded his fellow comrades for honour done him. According to him, “I and Hon. Randolph I.O Brown will not disappoint Bonny kingdom”.
Hon. Pepple called for guide from the Island Comrades of Bonny with moral support, pointing out that Bonny needs advocacy.
On his part, the LGA PDP Secretary, Mr. Tonye Charles Jumbo thanked the Island Comrades for their sense of belonging.
The secretary noted that the group is first to recognize the victory of their member in the area.
At the reception, Hon. Randolph I.O Brown used the opportunity to intimate the audience that for now no president will be better than President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in Nigeria.
Hon. Brown charged all and sundry to give constructive ideas to the present administration for effective leadership; he added that the administration will operate an open door policies. ###
