At Last, Keshi Signs 2 Years Contract With NFF

The long awaited Stephen Okechukwu Keshi rumoured signing of Super Eagles contract has been laid to rest on Tuesday 21st day of April, 2015 as Keshi finally signed a two years deal contract to coach the Nigeria Super Eagles.

Keshi’s new contract expires after Gabon AFCON 2017, meaning Keshi is expected to qualify the Eagles for Gabon 2017 AFCON.

For Keshi to finally signed the much anticipated contract, he formally apologized to Nigerians and NFF for failing to qualify the Super Eagles for Equatorial Guinea 2015.

Keshi long standing team mate in the 1994 Super Eagles squad and assistance did not return with Keshi in his new contract.

Amokachi was dropped while Slyvanus okpala and Ike made their return with Keshi in the new contract deal.

The Super Eagles for now do not have a standing first eleven (11) to call a team, Keshi is expected to assemble fresh players to constitute the new Super Eagles to represent Nigeria.

As of the moment, there is no known Nigerian player playing at top class clubs on regular basis in Europe.

The question The Newswriter sports is asking is will the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) support Keshi to succeed?

The NFF before Keshi signing his contract has promised to advance Keshi as a world class coach, meaning, Keshi will have the technical assistance of the NFF. May this not be a mere promise but a promised meant for the good of Keshi and Nigerian football.

Indeed, Keshi needs technical assistance to progress the Super Eagles, being someone with luck who knows he might still give another AFCON trophy this time. ###
