Before The Swearing-in: Politicians Jostles For Cabinet Appointment

Indications have emerge that another batch of struggle have just begun for who becomes what in the Nyesom Wike led government that is yet to be inaugurated.

Ahead of May 29th, The Newswriter political desk has it that some members of the Peoples Democratic Party especially those who did not struggle or pay any sacrifice for the success of the party have begun to intensify efforts toward securing an appointive position in the forthcoming cabinet.

Sources revealed that those who have begun the search for appointment are those who never believed in the course of the liberation of the state from the tyrant governor Amaechi but were in the party to spoil things.

The sources claimed that except few adjustments are made in some areas, the PDP has already arranged its house before going into the election, saying that irrespective of what anyone would do PDP would not be drag into chaos or further disunity rather growing from strength to strength in the state.

The impeccable sources which pleaded for anonymity, while warning those seeking for political appointments to pray to their God for such favour as those who laboured would first be rewarded.

Another source which cautions politicians against further move to divide the party like governor Amaechi did in 2013, urge all office seekers to first allow their conscience to judge their action before and during the elections while considering their physical stake in the struggle to reclaim Rivers State back for the party.

Meanwhile, sources in the Rivers State Government House has it that Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is adamant about constituting a transition committee not to mention handing over.

However, another source within the Brick House has hinted that illegal and present occupant of the Brick House and governorship candidate of the APC Dakuku Adol Peterside going by his body movement has commenced move to leave the complex before it is late.

The sources who are opposed to mentioning their names on print insisted that Peterside has been holding brief for governor Amaechi for over three months in the Brick House before the general elections.

In a related development, information reaching our news desk has it that Rivers State government House now seems like graveyard as both political and administrative activities are grounded following the victory of the PDP in the state and subsequent preparation for the taking over of power by the governor-elect, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike comes 29th May, 2015. ###
