2015 Elections: Ogu/Bolo Youths Parades Fake Police, Maureen Accused

The recently conducted governorship and State Houses of Assembly witnessed huge presence of suspected hoodlums who claimed to be police officers from Calabar and Akwa Ibom States.

This medium gathered that the self acclaimed police men were allegedly brought into Bolo town in Ogu/Bolo LGA by the former Boss of the LGA, Dame Maureen Tamuno to rig the elections in APC’s favour through violent means.

Some personalities in the area who pleaded for anonymity hinted our LGA correspondent on election duty that when the fake police officers arrived in the community, they immediately alerted the Army in the community, adding that the Army immediately ordered their arrest through the DPO of the area.

The youth leaders further hinted our correspondent that Dame Maureen’s husband, Sir. M.N.K Tamuno had refused them access into their home having suspecting their appearances, maintaining that they confessed that they were not police officers from Calabar and Akwa Ibom but people hired to boast the vote of APC.

All efforts to have Dame Maureen’s defence proved abortive as she was not taking her calls.

However, her Media Officer, Mathew Osika has debunk the allegation saying that the Maureen he knows could not descend so low to have brought hoodlums from elsewhere in the guise of policemen to truncate the elections in her Local Government.###
