The chairman Community Development Committee (CDC) Bodo, Mene Sylvester Kogbara has said that the people of Ogoni are peaceful.
This Mene Kogbara told the newsmen at Bodo explained that if not the people should have caused trouble in the state.
According to Kogbara the people drink hydro-carbon, eat hydro-carbon yet they remain law abiding.
However, Kogbara appreciated the way his people are using the money the compensation Shell paid to them. He said that several developments are presently going on in Bodo which is good but prove it out right that no oil operation will on in Bodo again unless clean up is done and the environment restored.
In another development, Dr. Linus Barikor appreciated the people of Bodo for their peaceful disposition in the presidential election, describing the people as product of good enlightenment and called on contestants to take the results of the elections with good faith. ###
