Secondly, the way the government of the Rivers State government, the sole sponsor of the club is treating the club also has a big way it affect the club performance.
The players are psychological derail in thought as when their salaries are not paid as when due. This has a limitation in their performance as they could not bring their minds to play the real football they used to play or they are known for.
In line with the good saying of old, an hungry man is an angry man and no human being could produce result on empty stomach.
It takes a mentally and physically balance and focus active person to produce result that is the case of Dolphins players.
At a point they have to sleep at the Rivers State government gate, in demand of their salaries and unpaid allowances and sign-on-fees. The same monetary issue affected their continental ouster.
From all indication, the sponsor of the club did not pay proper attention to the club.
Sister club, Sharks of Port Harcourt too is suffering from the same fate with Dolphins, since both club are directly under the sponsorship of the Rivers State government.
A new season is here, both Dolphins and Sharks are campaigning in the Nigeria professional football league, if things turn out find, a new government will be over seeing both teams in terms of sponsorship who knows a new dawn is in sight. ###
