No fewer than 3000 students under the auspices of Wakirike Students Coalition on Tuesday embarked on a sensitization campaign across the three Okrika speaking Local Government Areas of Okrika, Ogu/Bolo and Port Harcourt City, to enlighten the people on the need to vote massively for all the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming elections in Nigeria.
Speaking to Journalists during the campaign, the National coordinator of the group, Comrade Tamunokonbia Soseipiriala and the National Adviser, Comrade Igbikikuno Friday (Jnr), said they are embarking on the sensitization following the antecedents and track records of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his transformation agenda, the Governorship Candidate of the Party in Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike, Senator George Thomspon Sekibo for Rivers East Senatorial District and Hon. Bright Gogo for Okrika , Ogu/Bolo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
According to them, the member representing Ogu/Bolo constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Evans Bapakaye Bipi is another candidate that had made the people of Wakirike and Rivers State proud for his doggedness and better representation and that he deserves a second tenure.
They enjoined all lovers of democracy to vote Tonye Adoki for PHALGA Constituency 2, as well as Adams Dabotorudima for Okrika Constituency for the State House of Assembly.
“Over 3000 students across the three constituencies of PHALGA, Okrika and Ogu/Bolo LGAs both within and outside the state should vote for all PDP Candidates in the forthcoming elections, remarking that vote for PDP is a vote for progress and more development”, they enjoined.
The students embarked on House to House, Market to Market, Compound to Compound, Office to Office, and major streets from new road to Port Harcourt main township, PHALGA constituency II, down to Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area before rounding off at Okrika main town. ###
