Importance of Power Supply

Power supply is important in the technological advancement of any given country. A society that wants to move forward in trade and commerce will not down play its power sector.

Constant power supply brings about unprecedented positive development in the socio-economic circle of a nation.

Power is indispensable in the both industrial and domestic sectors. In the industries, power is used by machines to produce goods and other valuable items for the benefit of mankind. Non-availability of power supply has negative impact on the economy of a nation.

Several years after the Nigeria’s independence, the country is yet to enjoy uninterrupted power supply.

Of recent the electricity distribution in Rivers Sate is very poor and has nothing to write home about.

Today it is very difficult to enjoy power supply in any part of the state for four (4) hours. It is disheartening that sixteen (16) years of uninterrupted democracy, Nigerians are still hoping for better power distribution. Authorities in-charge of power are not doing well, thus any nation to come alive economically should improve on her power distribution.

Let us plea with the Federal Ministry of Power and other relevant agencies to ensure that there is an improved power supply in the country, considering the relevance of electricity in the life of any country. ###
