Peterside made the remark at the APC’s ward-to-ward rally in Ogbakiri, Emohua local government area.

He said that the peace and development of the local government depended on the choice of the people of the area.

He said that the people had a choice to make between development and underdevelopment, adding that it was their constitutional right to decide on what they want.

“I am here to solicit for your votes; when you elect me as governor, I will rehabilitate the roads in Ogbakiri and Government Secondary School,” he said.

Peterside also promised to construct the road linking Ogbakiri with Kalabari area of the state to attract investments that would create employment for the youths.

He urged traditional rulers in Ogbakiri, Emohua and Rumuji communities in Emohua LGA to ensure that they cast their ballot and also protect their votes.

He reminded the people of the decision of the Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs of Ikwerre land to support his candidature.

“The leaders of Ikwerre land has adopted and blessed me as their sole candidate for the governorship election to ensure justice and equity,” he said.

He appealed to the people to stand behind their leaders and support his candidature.
