The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Kalabari se Ikpangi has condemned in strong terms the current spate of political violence across the state.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, the Chairman of the Council, Chief Comrade Sepiribo C. T. Briggs expressed worry the way and manner in which some desperate politicians are causing mayhem in the State.
He said that his council will henceforth checkmate the ugly activities of the political class.
Chief Briggs, however directed all members of the IYC, Kalabari se Ikpangi to vote massively for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Hon. Tonye Alalibo for the Rivers State House of Assembly candidate for Akulga Constituency II in the forthcoming general elections.
He expressed optimism that if Hon. Alalibo is given the chance to represent the people of Akulga Constituency II, there will be development in the area.
