His reasons, he said for Equatorial Guinea to accept hosting the Africa soccer showpiece shows that they have the interest of African football when all odd is against the competition.
First he said, Morocco pull out because of Ebola in that region but for Equatorial Guinea, the 2015 AFCON competition would have been in shambles.

He commended the effort of Ghana for reaching the final and Equatorial Guinea for taking shame away from CAF.
He also said, there could be no other finals like the one of Ghana and Cote d’voire as the tournament was characterized with lots of challenges yet it tarries to the end.
“Kudos to Equatorial Guinea for helping out in hosting the tournament. He also commended all the teams that participated in the 2015 Equatorial Guinea AFCON where African soccer giant Nigeria could not quality to be part of the tournament.
Despite Nigeria not being part of the tournament has come and gone.

He prays Nigeria would be part of subsequent editions without fail.
