The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers state has accused the State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi of misusing the State’s billions of naira between December 2014 and January 2015.
Wike at a rally held in Port Harcourt alleged that the Governor had been spending state funds on the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign.
Wike challenged Amaechi to explain to the state how he spent the more than N108 billion he received from the Federation account in the whole of 2014.
The PDP guber candidate further accused Amaechi of complacency, stressing that he refused to develop many parts of Port Harcourt city because of the alleged corruption.
He said, “What I am telling you is not newspaper report. I’m giving you facts from Government House; the total money he borrowed from Zenith Bank is N39billion, Fidelity Bank N6billion, GTB N10billion and Access Bank N17billion.
“Now when you add this total with the N50billion from the reserve fund, that will give you N112billion.
“I have told you people that PDP is the only party you can vote for”.
Wike vowed to make more revelations at the grand finale of his campaign rally.
