A Port Harcourt based football promoter, comrade (Ambassador) Digbani Tams has promised soccer talents in the State a better deal if they could only keep their heads down.
Comrade Tams, is the sponsor of the Bille annual Unity Cup. The annual Bill District Amateur football Association (BDAFA) which comes every year has been sustained by Tams for 34 years, and had produced players for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The grassroots football promoter has been involved in football activities since he was 10 years old when he was playing active football in his school days.
From 1980-2014 he has been passionately involved in Rivers State football. He was the manager of Awoba stars FC when they won the state Super league in 2014. He has also been the sole sponsor of Awoba stars till date and had maintained steady progress with the Bille Amateur side in the state football competitions.
As of the time of filing in this report, many young aspiring footballers of the future through his sponsored football competition are in one Nigeria premiership club or the other.
Information available to The Newswriter has it that his sponsored football competition had produced 10 players for Sharks, Dolphins and Bayelsa United collectively. ###
