As the campaign for the governorship of Rivers State enters its final stage, some of the several political organizations which lend their support to candidates of their choices have begun unprofitable campaigns against their future especially at the detriment of the general public and the entire Obolo (Andoni) people perhaps because of some gratifications, but regrettably they have missed their target and direction and subsequently misfired their bullets
The director of publicity and communications of the Andoni Democrats Assembly ADA, Comrade Alwell Ataene made the observation known to newsmen while reacting to a position of a faceless organization in the area immediately after her monthly general congress at Ngo town, headquarters of Andoni.
According to ADA spokesperson, Alwell, the faceless group had listed about ten points to the credit of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dakuku Peterside but swiftly observed with dismay and described as unfortunate why an Andoni group would take such decision against its future, saying that the ADA as well as the entire Andoni people have condemn such statements by the faceless group and advice all to jettison the stickers and posters messages spread across Andoni.
ADA, spokesperson who disclosed that its position was fasten on truth other than sentiments said the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo (Unity Road) was in no place near completion rather a death trap for the Andoni citizens as well as the concrete lauding jetty at Ebukuma which he said was also a death trap even as it was not constructed in line with national not to mention international best designs.
Speaking further ADA posited that the people of Egbormung (Olukama) community in Andoni are in more pains than ever following the poorly done shore protection and land reclamation which indigenes suffers untold hardship at the slightest rainfalls.
The group also question the authenticity of the APC candidate plans to make Ngo and Ikuru town centres of tourism, saying in over three (3) years in the House of Representatives the APC guber candidate had not imagine anything good for the Andonis and wondered how he could transform Andoni to a tourism centre now, and claims that the said empowerment of youths and scholarship for Andoni students were selective and carried out on children of his friends as evidence abound.
ADA, however cautions individuals, groups to weigh their comments before releasing them and tasked all to solicit for votes for their choice candidates with humility than making incisive utterances. ###
