Barely two weeks to the presidential election, a socio-political group known as Goodluck Support Group (GSG) has declared that it will support the re-election of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan come February 14, 2015.
Addressing newsmen shortly after commissioning its Secretariat in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, the National Coordinator of the group, Dokubo Captain Briggs extolled the administration styles of President Jonathan, saying that the President has done much in the development of the country.
Captain Briggs urged the people of the state to throw their weight behind the continuity of President Jonathan’s administration.
He highlighted some of the achievements of Jonathan’s regime which include: road construction, resuscitation of the rail way system, improved power supply, improved foreign reserve amongst several others.
Captain-Briggs enjoined the people to vote massively for President Goodluck Jonathan so as to continue with his good works.
The National Coordinator of GSG had earlier canvassed votes for the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship flagbearer, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Wike in the feb. 28, 2015 Guber election.
He lauded the leadership of the PDP in the state. Captain Briggs, however, told Rivers people that the only way to enjoy the dividends of democracy is to vote massively for the PDP in the next month’s general elections. ###
