Schekel Ark Education Centre is located at No. 8/10 Ameh Lane off Orije, off Nzimiro St. Amadi Flat, Ogbunabali New Layout in the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Conducting journalists round the school premises, the Proprietress of the school, Schehera Horsfall Penrose revealed her vision of establishing the school. She said that the essence of the Schekel Ark Education Centre is to complement Government’s efforts to enhance the Standard of Education in the country.
Penrose maintained that her school is well positioned to provide an inclusive, safe, stimulating and caring teaching and learning environment for children.
She said that the philosophy of the school is to ensure a sound upbringing of children, adding that children are divine honour.
“We strongly believe that each day in the child’s life is important, not just for the future but for the here and now. Schekel is a very special place for young children exploring the world” Penrose said.
She pointed out that, the school premises is spacious and has lawn and gardens, which according to her provides ample space for exploration and outdoor play.
She said that besides running the Pre-school/Nursery and Day Care/play group, the school also made available special weekend/emergency care if demanded for.
Penrose who stressed the importance of education in the nation building, said that the school offers English Language, including Phonics and Rhymes, Mathematics, Basic Science, Bible Knowledge, Health Education, Fine Arts and Social Studies.
She called on parents and guardians to ensure that they register their children and wards in the Schekel Ark Education Centre, so that their future will be bright.
