Buhari Lacks Democratic Credentials – Wike

Rivers State PDP Governorship Candidate, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has described the embattled APC Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) as a known tyrant who is incapable of promoting democracy.

He said Buhari has no democratic credentials despite the propaganda being sponsored by his promoters.

The Rivers State PDP Governorship candidate spoke on Tuesday in Port Harcourt when he met Rivers Traders Association, Block Moulders Association, Ijaw Women Seafood Traders and Rivers Youth Movement.

He said the APC Presidential candidate lacks democratic and developmental qualities and therefore cannot be entrusted with the leadership of Nigeria.

Barrister Wike noted that all Nigerians will keep faith with President Goodluck Jonathan because they don’t want to return to the dark days of dictatorship and poor governance.

He said: “Buhari is a known tyrant and has nothing to offer Nigerians. A leopard cannot change its spots. He has nothing to offer the nation.

“We in Rivers State will join other Nigerians to re-elect President Goodluck Jonathan who has developed Nigeria and stabilized our country. We cannot return to the dark days of Buhari where there was no development and respect for the rule of law”, Wike said.

He further urged the groups to work hard to mobilize maximum support for President Jonathan, himself and all other PDP candidates.

He informed that his administration will construct an international market within the first three years of getting into office.

The former Minister of State for Education also pledged to set up an empowerment fund for traders, small scale businessmen and youths to assist them grow their businesses.

To the block molders, he pledged a centralized site for block molding in the state.

All the groups formally endorsed President Jonathan and Barrister Wike for the 2015 General elections.
