I believe that there is a governing council in heaven that controls the affairs of men. I also believe there is time and season that bring about harvest. One thing I am sure of, God’s time table is quiet different from ours.
According to geographers the rotation of the Earth on its own axis causes day and night. While the revolution of the Earth causes seasons. Nothing is permanent, except change.
It is mystery to see the sun rises in the morning and go to bed in the evening. The sunset gives birth to darkness.
The world is not static, but dynamic and progressing in its affairs. Hence, there is time and purpose for everything under the sun. Every event has its own time. There is time to riot and time to be calm.
Barely two (2) weeks from now the year 2014 will go into the trash can of history, and we shall step into 2015.
The year 2015 is significant in the political history of Nigeria. It is an election year, when Nigerians will go to polls and elect those that will decide their affairs in the next four (4) years. 2015 is a year of decision in Nigeria.
We have come to a season of joy and celebration. Christians all over the world on the 25th December will commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. He came to this world that mankind will enjoy life to the fullest.
No doubt, Jesus is the Saviour of mankind. His teachings while on earth pointed towards life, light and salvation.
Nobody should see this season as a time to spend money indiscriminately and eating gluttonously, but for sober reflection. It is the time to hold on to God tenaciously so that the year 2015 will be well with us. ###
