Rivers PDP: 14 Aggrieved Governorship Aspirants Beg Wike

nyesom-wike-3Like one of the notorious criminals that was nailed on the cross, when Jesus Christ, the founder of the Christian faith was crucified on the cross of Calvary pleaded to be remembered when the Saviour of the mankind would ascend into God’s kingdom. Information reaching our political desk had it that fourteen (14) out of the nineteen (16) guber aspirants that boycotted the primary of the Rivers State chapter of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have pleaded with the governorship flagbearer of the party, Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike for forgiveness.

They (guber aspirants) demanded that Chief Wike should carry them along in the scheme of things.

We reliably gathered that the 14 aggrieved aspirants in unison met with the PDP guber candidate at his residence at Old GRA, Port Harcourt and begged him to integrate them into mainstream of Rivers politics.

Information had it that, the spokesman of the aggrieved guber aspirants (names withheld) told Chief Wike that they were deceived by some elders in the state to join the governorship race, adding that “we were told that they (elders) will convince President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to endorse one of us. But later we discover that things fail to work out the way they told us”

The aggrieved guber aspirants told Chief Wike that he should not ignore them when he steps into the Brick House in May 29, 2015 promising that they will work with him to ensure that his manifestos are implemented when he gets the peoples mandate next year.

They further pleaded that the leadership of Rivers PDP should incorporate them when constituting the campaign team in order to give them a sense of belonging. ###
