MOSIEND Revokes Power Of Attorney

The Movement for the Survival of the ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) wishes to inform the general public that the power of attorney given to Hon. Barr. D.W. Wuku of Dayspring Chambers No. 126 Niger Street, Port Harcourt and Chief James Jepther, the Managing Director of Octopus Clan Nigeria Limited is hereby revoked concerning the on going Mobil Idoho pipeline Oil Spill Compensation payment process.

The revocation order became necessary because no communication between Hon. Barr. D.W. Wuku, Chief James Jepther, Mobil producing unlimited and MOSIEND. No exchange of letters, no correspondence, no copy of the Power of Attorney registered with the Bayelsa State judiciary is with MOSIEND, no updates, after the handover of the Power of Attorney to Barr. D.W. Wuku and Chief James Jepther since 2011. No MOSIEND head has ever being present or represented in any of the meetings necessitated this revocation. MOSIEND is calling on Mobil Producing Unlimited to take note of this development.

In order to reposition the organization inline with good governance, Prince Franklin E.A. Amachree who is the current MOSIEND president promised to carry all members from the three zones along, nobody shall be sidelined, no person shall be denied payment because the money is enough to go round all the four organizations despite selfish scheming antics by some of our members working with Barr. D.W. Wuku and Chief James Jepther does not augur well with the entire of MOSIEND leadership.

From our observations, Hon. Barr. D.W. Wuku and Chief James Jepther is only relating and interacting with two of our executives, Robert Obebara and Samuel Karema instead of the entire MOSIEND leadership currently under President Prince Franklin E.A. Amachree culminated into the revocation of the Power of Attorney except otherwise.

For avoidance of doubt and skepticism MOSIEND is calling on all organs of government especially NDDC, State, Federal, the Niger Delta Ministry and Multinational Oil Companies to disregard and reject any letter submitted on behalf of the our noble organization without the names and signature of President Franklin Amachree is not only fraudulent but dubious.

MOSIEND also wish to join other Nigerians to congratulate His Excellency, President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan (GCFR) for his adoption as the PDP consensus candidate for 2015 general elections is a clear indication that your administration is determined to transform and privatize the economy.

The foremost and parent organization in the Niger Delta MOSIEND wish to call on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and State Governments in the region to attract foreign investors and investment in order to execute mega projects in the region than relying on monthly allocations.

They should take advantage of China’s $60 Billion investment for Africa in 2014/2015 while $35 Billion is allocated to Nigeria in particular should be accessed to realize the Eldorado of our dreams.

Whatever arrangement Hon. Barr. DW Wuku and Chief James Jepther may have entered with MOSIED in 2011 conceding 90 percent to both the claiming and legal agents did so ignorantly while accepting 10 percent is a gross violation and abuse of our organizational rights on a platter of gold.

Therefore, it is unacceptable, unethical and detrimental to our collective pursuit as groups hereby declare the Power of Attorney null and void — except redirected or renegotiated by MOSIEND.

The MOSIEND President Franklin Amachree expected transparency, sincerity, reliability, equity, fair play and justice on the part of Barr. D.W. Wuku and James Jepther when it comes to agreement than to usurp our powers trickishly.

MOSIEND stands to condemn the Itsekiris for spitting fire and brimstone over Tompolo’s importation of marine gun boats for the fear that it might be used for forment regional or tribal mayhem against others is like calling a dog a bad name in order to hang it. The director general of NIMASA said that five war ships allegedly acquired by Tonipolo’s Company Global West Vessel Specialist Limited was done on behalf of the agency.

It was also revealed that the Itsekiris boys were responsible for the kidnap of the ‘Pere of Amabolou’ BRM King Augustine Ebikeme a month ago and they should stop inciting people over the selection of a Deputy Governor from the Ijaw stock alleging that Chief E.K. Clark, Tompolo, President Jonathan, and Senator James Manager are not the owners of Nigeria, if there happens to be a breakup insinuated by the Itsekiris from the Delta South senatorial district is undemocratic and suicidal.

For unity and stability of our democracy, MOSIEND would not hesitate to warn those making various threats of disintegration in the country to stop for the interest of peace and national development. We call on the Northern elite, politicians, royal fathers and the youths to summon stakeholders meeting to discuss how the dreaded Boko Haram insurgency would not destabilize our democratic and electoral process come 2015.

For cohesion and adhesion in MOSIEND, the Mobil 1998 Idoho oil spill compensation payment would be handled by a reliable committee of past and present MOSIEND leaders from the three zones Western, Central and Eastern in order to checkmate any omission or grouse that may arise from the disbursement thereafter.

To avoid disbelieve, distrust and misconception the people may have had about the both of you (Barr. Wuku & Octopus) in the past can only be justified at the end if the both of you (Barr. Wuku & Octopus) prove yourselves to be men of proven, trusted and tested integrity with which people knew the both of them before now.

The present MOSIEND leadership of President Franklin Amachree and his executives wish to use this medium to commend and encourage Octopus and Barr Wuku for their unwavering, unflinching determination and doggedness with which they have carried out their assigned responsibility of trust believing that all must be carried along so that posterity would vindicate them. ###
