The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has said that the people of the state will not be swayed by alleged sponsored propaganda against him by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, the people already knew the reality on ground.
Wike, who stated this in Port Harcourt at the weekend, was reacting to comments credited to the chairman of APC in the state, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya.
He had described the emergence of the immediate past minister of state for education as the governorship candidate of the PDP as a continuation of the party’s war against the state.
But speaking through his special assistant on media, Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, said, Ikanya’s obsession with the affairs of the Rivers State PDP showed he had accepted their impending fate in next year’s election.
The aide predicted that Nyesom EzebunwoWike will defeat DakukuPeterside, “the candidate anointed by the non-performing outgoing Governor Amaechi”.
