The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC said despite the numerous petitions against the commission, it has no skeleton in their cupboard.
The Executive Director Finance and Administration, Dr. Henry Ogiri dropped the hint in an interview with journalists shortly after the 2013 long service award for NDDC staff at Hotel Presidential Port Harcourt over the weekend.
Dr. Ogiri stated that they are not afraid to invite the chairman of ICPC because they are playing according to the rule of the game.
The Executive Director Finance and Administration said the award was to reward hardworking, dedicated steadfastness of staff.
He said some of the petitions written against NDDC are malicious and baseless.
Earlier, Dr. Ogiri has extolled the leadership style of Sir. Barr. Dan Abia, the Managing Director and CEO of NDDC.
He maintained that while others were quarreling in the past, people were disappointed that the current executive could not subject themselves to quarrel, as he promised to put effective corporate governance in NDDC.
Dr. Ogiri commended the NDDC MD/CEO for directing the payment of some of the retired staff.
Speaking at the award ceremony the chairman of ICPC commended NDDC for the awards which he said will encourage staff to do more.
He promised to assist staff of the commission to avoid pithole as he urged them to remain focus in their mandate especially to develop the Niger Delta region. ###
