Bipi, Ikunyi, Njoku, Others Commends PDP Screening Exercise

Some of the Rivers State House of Assembly Aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have commanded the outcome of the party’s screening exercise which ended recently.

Speaking shortly after been screened at the PDP state party secretariat, Hon. Evans Bipi representing Ogu/Bolo constituency at the State House of Assembly, said the exercise was impressive.

On what he has done for his people that may warrant his quest for a second tenure, Bipi said that he has done a lot for his people, despite the fact that the state governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi withheld his salaries for quite along time.

Hon. Bipi noted that the time calls for reward for all his loyalty and support to the party over the time and urged the people of Rivers State to support and vote wisely for the PDP.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ikunyi Ibani of Andoni State Constituency stressed that his selfless and quality representation of his people at the State House, for two consecutive times populated the demand for his candidacy for the assembly position in the upcoming election.

While Prince Emma Njoku, an aspirant to the state House of Assembly from Etche LGA of the state, urged every Rivers person to give their support to PDP.

On the political and communal clashes that have remained persistent in Etche land, Prince Njoku said that the police and other security agencies in the state are on top of the situation and pledge that they will continue to work with all the relevant security agencies in the state to ensure a lasting peace in the area.

They also condemned the call for the disqualification of Barr. Nyesom Wike from the guber race, describing the call as baseless. ###
