As the Nigeria Super Eagles end their last group qualifier at home in Uyo, nest of champions stadium against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, the Public Relation Officer of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Barr. Karibi George is of the opinion that (the Eagles need to beat Bafana Bafana of South Africa).
According to him, “yes, the Eagles need to win. Bafana Bafana has only pride to contend for. The need to win is a stronger motivation, he said.
The South Africa has already qualified for the 2015 Nations Cup to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea ahead of others in the group.
Nigeria played 1-1 draw at South Africa ground, so, a win for the Eagles with a good high margin qualifies Nigeria, while today’s encounter is a decider for Nigeria, South Africa is playing for pride as South Africa had never beaten Nigeria in any FIFA international organized match.
Coach Keshi and Uche Ike had earlier made bold statements, saying South Africa must fall.
Keshi had told the Eagles to make sure they beat South Africa with high goal margin to secure a place in the 2015 AFCON.
Nigeria is the defending champions of the trophy and is expected to be at the AFCON to defend the trophy.
As at the time of filing in this report, the Eagles are said to be in high spirit.
The match is a decider match for Nigeria and fun for South Africa. ###
