On 2nd November will ever remain inedible in the minds of Warriors of Christ Int’l Church members Port Harcourt as their Daddy in the Lord, Rev Amb John Richard marked his 25 years in the Lord’s vineyard.
The auspicious occasion took place in the main church auditorium at Warriors of Christ avenue off Dr. Peter Odili Road, Trans-Amadi Port Harcourt, it was indeed an epoch making event, tagged “overwhelming evidence of successful and impactful priesthood service to God and humanity”.
The guest speaker, Apostle Psalm Okpe from Lagos urged Christians to be committed to the work of God, stressing that those who did that, would be rewarded. He cited Rev Amb Richard as evidence of God’s grace upon his life, adding that humanity should demonstrate God’s love and impact, especially to less privileged as demonstrated by Rev. Richard in his foundation that caters for the poor.
Earlier in his citation, Bishop Ben Steven extolled good qualities of him and submitted that his over whelming evidence in his service to God and humanity for 25 years of fruitful services, has show cased him as a true man of God.
Speaking in the same vein, the royal father of day Alabo Tonye Graham Douglas said the General overseer is a true man of God, who has touched many lives through his ministry, adding that when the enemy of the church wanted to pull him down, he intervened. He then urged Christians to
emulate him.
In his contribution, the chairman of the occasion Chief Greg Ogbuife a maritime mogul said he was impressed for the turn up and testimonies of God’s mercies on him and wished him many fruitful years ahead. He said: “I congratulate you, because you are called of God to preach his word and you have affected positively the lives of widows’ orphans and less
privileged through your organization”
Senator Magnus Abe, Hon Tonye Princewill, Hon Sylver Charles Opula and others, in their separate speeches described him a charismatic preacher, a man of integrity and lover of the poor “He is a Charisma and lives his life for God. He identified with people. He is a man of integrity. His 25 years in the service of God has been fruitful, we wish him many happy returns”.
In a chat with the pressmen, Rev. Amb. John Richard said, “I feel so exited and humbled. I am courage men of God to be stable and committed to work of God. Also younger pastors to come forward and do the work of God. And be humble because Jesus was humble even unto death. I thanked immensely to those who made this occasion a huge success. To my guests God will bless them, and all the glory given to God.
The highlights of the events were cutting of birthday cake, graduation of 70 leaders trained in leadership capacity empowerment, rendition of songs by choir and different artists. It was colourful and was attended by dignitaries from all works of life. ###
