Oruge’s NLC Chairmanship Ended

Comrade Prince Addah Williams has sounded it clear that Dr. Chris Oruge is no longer the Nigeria Labour Congress Chairman, Rivers State Chapter because his primary constituency which is the Nigeria Union of Teachers has suspended him.

Comrade Williams has it that Oruge was suspended along with others in the union at the national level, stated that Oruge’s suspension takes will take ten good years to lift though he did not point out what caused the suspension.

Williams explained that the rule governing the NLC does not allow associate membership but that one must come from an affiliate union.

Answering questions from the press, Williams has it that the suspension saga of the chairman was rumoured since the beginning of the year but there was no document to hold, noting that its now that they have what to hold, and declared Oruge out of office and that he (Williams) has assume the office as NLC chairman in the state .###
