Guber: Magnus Abe Crashes Out

ABEAs the gubernatorial primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gets closer, impeccable political sources hinted this weekly that the Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Magnus Abe has been knocked out of the governorship race. The sources informed this publication that the State chairman of the party, Hon. Davies Ikanya conspired with other chieftains of the APC in the state and gave a final blow to the gubernatorial ambition of the senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The state party chairman and others as we are reliably gathered had secretly presented, Hon. Dakuku Peterside, another Federal Lawmaker in the lower House of the National Assembly to Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as the governorship flag bearer of the opposition APC in Rivers State.

Sequel to this development a rough relationship now exists between Senator Abe and the leadership of the State APC.

Abe and his loyalists are now thinking of defecting to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if nothing is done to correct the decision taken of choosing the torch bearer of the party in the state come 2015.   ###
