P.H: Kerosene Explosion Kills Two

EXPLOSIONThere was weeping and gnashing of teeth at the popular UPE Sandfilled, Borikiri in Port Harcourt main township, as kerosene explosion killed two children of the same parents.

According to information reaching our newsdesk, the two children who lost their lives during the explosion are simply identified as Monica (9years) and Aniefiok (8years). Our correspondent who visited the scene reported that the mother, Mrs. Emen and other daughter, Blessing (4years) sustained different degrees of burnts during the explosion.

Sources told this weekly that the incident occurred when one of the deceased was lighting a local lantern after refilling it with kerosene when the explosion occured. Neighbours who spoke with our correspondent alleged that the kerosene must be an adulterated one.

As at the time of filing in this report, two of the victims are taking treatments in an undisclosed medical centre, while the deceased have since been buried. ###
