The chairman of Idango-Ama community (Marine Base) in the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr. Edmund Adoki has received a selfless service award.
The award was conferred on him, by the members of Rivers Journalists Forum (RJF). The event took place last week at the community Hall, Marine Base. Many personalities including opinion leaders, student activists and others attended the event
Speaking at the event the chairman of the Rivers Journalists Forum, Damiete West, extolled the leadership qualities of Mr. Adoki saying that since he took over the leadership of the community, the Idango-Ama is peaceful. West enjoined Mr. Adoki to continue with his good work, so that the community will be in total peace.
Responding while receiving the award, Mr. Adoki, thanked the forum for the honour done him. He said that the award will spur him to do more for the community and dedicated the award to God and the good people of Idango-Ama community. ###
