The Ethiopian Football Federation has denied Keshi’s claim about his contract with that country.
Keshi has earlier said that the Ethiopian Football Federation has contracted him to coach the senior national team. At his exit with the Super Eagles, before his sack, he had proudly told sports journalists that he is a professional coach, hence he will always have another job, if he is sack today that is not the end of the world for him.
He also said, three countries are waiting for his signature with a wooping monthly salary of N18,000 (Eighteen Million Naira).
Keshi based on his track record in winning the AFCON was rated the best coach of Africa. Keshi is without a job after being relieved from his Super Eagles job, based on poor performance.
Keshi had coached Togo, Mali before Nigeria. He was called to manage the Super Eagles based on his performance with Mali and Togo when Siasia failed to qualify Nigeria for the Nation Cup.
It would be recalled that Keshi reign as manager of the Super Eagles was characterized with crisis and sentiment with players and the Nigeria Football Federation led by then President Alhaji Aminu Maigari.
Keshi was accused of being sentimental in his players selection from Nigeria’s football followers, Osaze, Ike Uche, Obafemi Martins and other promising Nigerian players were left out of the Eagles team.
Controversially, Keshi has never maintained a first eleven (11) as he keeps changing players or inviting players in each competition while he told sports journalists that he is building a team for Nigeria.
That same attitude had cost him his Super Eagles job as NFF newly elected President Amaju Pinnick could not take Keshi’s recklessness with the Super Eagles. ###
