The Degema Political Front (DPF), a frontline political group in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State has called on a prominent son of the area, Dr. Farah Dagogo to contest the Degema Constituency seat in the Rivers State House of Assembly come 2015.
Dr. Farah Dagogo is an indigene of Tombia community in the Degema Local Government Council, who has sacrificed his time and resources to reposition the Degema Local Government Area particularly, and the Kalabari kingdom as a whole. Looking critically at his activities, he is a true blessing to his people.
His credentials and performances speak volumes. Dr. Farah Dagogo has become a veritable source of hope to the hopeless in the Degema LGA. He is indeed a philanthropist, based on this Dr. Farah Dagogo has spreaded his philanthropistic tentacles to all the nooks and crannies of the Degema Local Government Area. He is a succour to the less privileged, beside this his kind gestures are being felt in every family across the length and breadth in the Kalabari ethnic nationality. He has initiated several peace moves to bring stability and orderliness, not only in Degema Local Government Area, but also in the sub-region of Niger Delta.
No doubt Dr. Farah Dagogo is a man of peace, vision and mission.
It is very important to state here categorically that several good things carried out by Dr. Farah Dagogo informed us to urge him to declare his intention to gun for the Degema Constituency seat in the Rivers State House of Assembly.
However, some of the things that actually propel us to stand behind Dr. Farah Dagogo urging him to represent the people of the Degema Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly are enumerated as follows:
- Provision of scholarship: Dr. Farah Dagogo loves education therefore he initiated scholarship scheme to boost academic performances in the LGA. Several pupils and students are beneficiaries of his scholarship project in the Kalabari kingdom. Such a man without mincing words deserve an higher office so that he can do more for his people.
- Empowerment Scheme: Dr. Farah Dagogo loves economic development especially at the rural communities. Because of the love he has for his people, Dr. Farah Dagogo provides materials and resources to persons in the Kalabari speaking LGAs to encourage them to participate greatly to ensure improvement of their condition of living. Dr. Farah Dagogo did this through free distribution of fishing nets and hooks to fishermen, provision of capital to both business men and women. Dr. Farah Dagogo empowerment programmes have taken the domestic economy in the Kalabari kingdom to the next level. Today the various Kalabari communities especially the fishing settlements are booming because of the laudable activities and initiatives of Dr. Farah Dagogo.
- Sports Development: Dr. Farah Dagogo believes that all works and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Because of this age long adage, he promoted sports activities sponsoring several competitions to improve the cognitive domains of the youths of the LGA. We know that if Dr. Farah Dagogo accepts our call to contest; the Degema constituency seat in the Rivers State House of Assembly, our communities will turn to paradise”. For now he is the only one that can give us effective representation, the people of Degema Constituency in 2015 and beyond. CONTEST, DR. FARAH DAGOGO, CONTEST. The people need you.
