The chairman of Port Harcourt Allstars International Football Club has without mincing words said that Super Eagles chance of qualifying in the 2015 AFCON is slim.
According to the ambassador of peace, “it is unfortunate that the Africa champions have worked themselves into tight corner.
Yes, it is true that Coach Amodu is a qualifier lucky coach, but this time around, except by the special grace of God, it will be difficult for Nigeria to qualify for the Nations Cup.
Sir, Peterside further said, Nigerians should support coach Amodu and his assistants for result but he said he doubts whether Nigeria will qualify as chances of the Super Eagles qualification are so glaring in his words “very very very slim”.
Nigeria has to beat South Africa and Congo outrightly and gamble on fate, if the Super Eagles must qualify.
The outspoken Peterside also said, though the NFF has done well by appointing Amodu and Gbenga Ogunbote to tinker the remaining two matches, it will take the grace of God to see Nigeria through except counting on the grace of the outcome of Congo and South Africa.
“For that to happened, Nigeria has to beat Congo and South Africa and pray for the grace of God to favour her by giving outright win in all the remaining matches”.
Amodu has said that he is not a magician but he will try his possible best to see what he can do with his assistants for the qualification of Nigeria for the AFCON 2015.###
