NIESV New Executive To Bring New Innovation On Board – Olaiya

NIEWThe newly executives of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Rivers State Branch have promised to bring new innovation on board that will meet an international standard.

The chairman of the body, Surveyor Oladapo Olaiya dropped the hints in an interview with journalists shortly after their inauguration in Port Harcourt.

He said the new leadership of NIESV will carry the association to a greater height noting that his emergence as the current chairman was a function of a rigorous campaign, while promising to carry all members along.

Earlier, the chairman NIESV Rivers State chapter surveyor Oladapo Olaiya in an address delivered at the event thanked the Rivers State Commissioner for Land and Housing, Hon. Ezemonye Ezekiel Amadi, the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Victor Giadom and the Chairman of Port Harcourt City, Hon. Nnamdi Wuche and his Emuoha counterpart, Hon. Orluku.

The chairman stated that during his tenure he will carry out a Four point agenda that will propel the association greatly, these include: membership growth, membership empowerment, branch development and public awareness.

Explaining further surveyor Olaiya said the new executive will procure a permanent site to build a well deserve secretariat for the institution, while embarking on a consistent public enlightenment which shall also include trainings, workshops, facilities, tours.

Also speaking, the outgoing chairman ESV. Emma Okas Wike said he is satisfied for their performance saying it is not possible to satisfy everyone.

Surveyor Wike advised the new executive to be honest and straightforward to move the association forward.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Work Rivers State, Hon. Victor Giadom represented by Dr. Peter Medee the KAGOTE president and a lecturer at University of Port Harcourt said government will consult them for any government activities.

Hon. Giadom stated that since the administration of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi government has constantly used the services of institution.

In their separate interview some of the awardees Mr. Umorba Solomon and Mr. Ken Mbata stated that the award is in the right direction and promised to do more.   ###
