Keshi’s Fate With Eagles Hangs In The Balance

AMAJUA PINNICK 2African cup winner, Coach Okechukwu Stephen Keshi’s job with the Super Eagles of Nigeria seems hanging in the balance.

The Edo born soccer tactician may just kiss his job bye when the new Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will discus over the job of technical Adviser for the Super Eagles.

From the look of things, NFF new president may not like Keshi to continue with the Eagles if comments he made about Keshi is going to hold waters.

It would be recalled that Maju Pinnick commented about Keshi’s technical approach to the game between Nigeria and Iran during the world cup, saying Keshi might have no other idea to add to the advancement of the Super Eagles in future tournaments.

That was when he has not become the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) though the decision of hiring a new technical Adviser for the Super Eagles is a collective decision that would be taken or made by the entire Nigeria Football Federation members.

Information reaching our sports desk has it that some of the country’s ex-internationals are being viewed to take over from Keshi.

Prominent among the ex-internationals that are being hoped upon to take over from Keshi are either Samson Siasia or Sunday Oliseh.

Comment accredited to Siasia says, Samson Siasia himself has said that if he is called upon to take the job he will gladly take the job. According to him, though Keshi is his friend, he will not look at anything and accept the job, after all Keshi took the job from him, adding that Keshi was not interviewed for the job when he was contracted to manage the Eagles. ###
