As the Nigeria Professional Football League resume Wednesday in all centres, Sharks taking On Gombe United defeated the visitors 1-0.
Sharks from their play in today’s encounter have improved more than before the league was suspended by the LMC, owing to the problems in the Nigeria Football Federation.
Augustine Eguavoen is the current Manager of Gombe United, also Super Eagles third choice goal tender, Chigogie Agbim was in goal for Gombe United.
Speaking to sports journalists, shortly after the match Eguavoen disclosed that though he lose today’s match he will keep pressuring on to change the fortune of Gombe United.
He also applauded Sharks noting that, the Port Harcourt side played well today.
On his part, Chief Coach of Sharks, Ere Dokubo said Sharks is all out to make good impression in the league. Saying winning is a must and he is happy, Sharks won the encounter.
Chima Akas scored the only goal of the match in the 56th minute in the second half.###
